It all started in 2020. The pandemic hit and trick or treating as we knew it was over. Gone were the days of going door to door, dressing up with your friends and family, and filling up massive bags of candy to splurge on later that night. That is until our owner Amy Hughes was struck with a genius idea.  Why not utilize our expansive 5- acres of land to create a magical trail for kids of all ages to enjoy with their families! And thus, Whimsical Woods was born and every year since we have broken our fundraising record again and again. 100% of all proceeds goes straight into our local communities to provide resources for children in the area. This yearly event also creates volunteer hours for local Honor Society Students, and opportunities for local businesses to give back to the community. We also work closely with Ball 4 All Foundation who sponsors and creates a Haunted House at the end of the trail every year. Our largest donor, Bethany Beach Books gives each child in attendance a FREE themed book every year!
